Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings
4 – 6 chicken breast
2 Tbsp butter
2 cans cream of chicken soup
1 small onion, finely chopped
2 packages refrigerated biscuits, torn into pieces
Place chicken, butter, soup, and onion in a slow cooker. Add enough water to cover chicken. Cover, and cook for 4-5 hours on low. Add torn biscuit dough to the slow cooker. Cook until dough is no longer raw about another hour. Total cook time is about 5-6 hours on low.

You sold me on the dumplings recipe! I love chicken and dumplings- enough to still ask for it for my birthday! Yes, nothing else...just my moms homemade dumplings. I am trying this tomorrow. It's the perfect weather! You have some precious boys. Kindergarten's fun, huh??
I have never been a fan of chicken and dumplings, but my husband is and I have NEVER made it. I'll have to surprise him one night soon with this one. Thanks!
