Our Weekend

We had a wonderful weekend that began by the boys getting their feet wet in our neighbors, Kim and Chucks, pool. They even got to swim again Saturday before lunch. After lunch we headed to Drake's baseball game. He even had his own little cheerleader come to the game. Caitlin, a precious little girl from his class, came to cheer him own. She even brought her own pom poms to cheer for him. So sweet!!!! Sunday we went for a family run, I guess that is what it would be when you have a year old lab pulling you and everyone else trying to keep up. I guess I need to take Sandy for more runs, she will have me in shape in no time. After lunch when Carter napped Drake and I ran over to the Greatwood pool. We were so excited when we saw they had opened for the season, even if it is just the weekend. Drake had no problem swimming and diving off the board. It was like he had never quit swimming from last year. We are so proud of him. He was excited that one of his friends from class showed up, Brody. They played for a while till it was time to leave. I was not getting in, it was way too cold for me. It was nice to sit in the chair and relax while watching him swim, we have totally passed the stress out when swimming part with him. But I know I will be wet headed when Carter comes around. That child is not scared of anything, and he loves to swim. We finished off the weekend with a wonderful meal prepared by dad. We had ribs, sausage, pork loin, home made mac and cheese, salad, and yummy garlic bread. It was AWESOME! Maybe we should get daddy to cook more often. I love weekends like this when we can lay back and enjoy each other as a family.
